    Instanced Maps: Perfect Idea but poorly implemented

    I really love the Idea of instanced maps so kudos on that. However, the implementation raise more questions than answers:

    1. Atm you can switch between instances via remapping (you port out and port back in again). This does'nt alway work. Sometimes you need to remap 5-9 times before you get into the desired instance.

    So after the hunt was posted:
    port to location takes up to 12 seconds (3 sec to select, 5 to cast port and up to 3 for loading screen)

    Now repeat this 3x (when you get lucky. When you get it the first time you'll be fine) this leaves us with +30sec just to get to the instance. Now considering the server population where around 70% will NOT wait for anyone (this is my personal experience since HW) you will most probably miss your hunt...

    The other option is better but still a problem for frequent hunters. You can change the map by foot where you can select the instance when you return. This however means that you need to start at the edge of the map and again.. until you get to the edge, change map, mount and get to the hunt spot - this is time you hardly can afford.

    2. Different Counters depending on instance??
    You create instances to improve the load for each map but force player to target a specific instance for the hunt anyway? Doesn't this completely destroy the purpose?

    3. Implement active Instance Switch
    Please consider an active switch rather than remapping. In case the instance is full it should show as "full" or not at all.

    ADD: This thread may sound rude but its not meant to be. I genuinely doubt that this implementation was meant to work this way.

    Honestly, it's just not worth their time to work on the system because the instances are only a bandaid to ease players and relieve stress on Servers. I wouldn't be surprised if they plan to get rid of them completely this coming maintenance since honestly speaking the few times I've seen the zones lately there seem to have only be 70 in each area which I feel is rather small to warrant the need for instances.

    I know it's temporary, but it's awful for treasure maps. Especially for places like the churning mists where you cannot walk in and choose. Had to abandon helping a friend because I just could not get into the correct instance.

    totally with you. i dont really pay attention on how many ppl are in the instance i want to switch to but I dont' think that instanced mapping in this case is really necessary.
    This was just to relieve myself because it was getting really annoying during hunts and party. When they remove it because it's not needed I'll be fine with that as well.
    If not they really should put a little more mind into it because the current implementation is confusing the least..

    They didn't want to add them in the first place because they know they are buggy. It was in the live letter at E3 just before the expansion launched. They only added them to keep the servers from crashing, which, for the most part, it did.
