People should not be required to look at guides to go play a dungeon. That's what makes them enjoyable, but FFXIV's design of fixed team setups and instant wiping people who do not follow the method runs counter to this and forces players along a set play style.Exactly. This is an issue I'm already experiencing. I find all of the end game content highly enjoyable, challenging and in some fashion - easy. It's been frustrating to wait 40+ mins to finally get into a raid just to have a team completely fail. YouTube video guides too good; yet, go unused.
I don't think of myself as some game designer but I do believe there's a way they can keep vanilla content alive (with incentives) without unbalancing the end game.
