You forget that Crystal Tower gets harder as the content gets older and people gear better...*sigh*
“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.”
― Ernest Hemingway
If Crystal Tower came when everyone had ilvl 70 gear. It would of been "very" hard. People go in with ilvl 110-130 gear and its suddenly a joke.
Coils are not hard when you go in with ilvl 180 gear. <3
Normal alex difficulty sounds pretty good actually, nice middle ground imo. Only concern is the story being shown in the easier mode, this isn't about gating people or anything but part of the reward of beating difficult fights was seeing interesting cutscenes.

The story is the whole reason they're putting in an easier version. Coil had rather important story and only a small percentage was able to see it.
And if alexander normal is going to be harder than ex primals there still won't be that many who will see the story. I dont think SE understood what it was people wanted. Maybe in 6 months after ilvl increases some more and echo is added. Most players just want an easy mode that is basically on par with the crystal tower raids. Don't want the best gear from easy mode just want to experience it.
I completely disagree. The reward for beating the most difficult encounters should be gear and prestige, never story. Everybody should be able to see the entire story in a game that puts so much emphasis on it.
