Never claimed to be their boss, never claimed to give them an ultimatum; not surprised about your reactions. Here's the bottom line: I'm a consumer. Right now, I don't like the "quality" of the product. I don't see any evidence that SE is concerned -- in fact, machinist dps was just debuffed. I'm simply saying -- as a consumer -- that I won't pay for the product unless something is done in a reasonable time-frame. "Something" can merely be an assurance that (a) there is a problem and SE recognizes it, and (b) a promise that something will be done in a timely fashion.
In the context of consumerism and a competitive economy with many entertainment options available, my reaction here is entirely reasonable and fair; your criticisms are not. We are, after all, talking about a product in a commodity-based market... not a religion, cause, or tribe.
Have a nice day!

So consumerism gives you the right to harass and threaten the developers, okay...
They do recognize it

They already looking at it, in progress of finding a solution without destroying game balance, they would also like to see them in raids before breaking the game.
Those that been here long enough remember when the first coil came out, BRD was demanded heavily that each party bring at least 1-2 of them until the damage nerf.

You're overreacting. You've assumed that directing a complaint toward a company for breaking aspects of their product is "harassment" and declining to pay them for said product after a reasonable time passes is a "threat". You're wrong; it's called "feedback".
I'm aware of what you've cited. Those statements prompted this thread; there is little there that is substantive, and what is promised indicates that SE does not think there are serious issues. They're wrong.
Again, it's not my intent to get into a drama-fest with certain factions in the community, but to simply let SE know what I think. So I'll consider my purpose served.

Your original post could have been a bit more polite but otherwise I agree. Quitting a game you don't like is the mature thing to do. Boycots are a good thing for the consumers because it puts pressure on companies to better their products. I think your critique is reasonable and for the sake of all bards and machinists I hope it gets fixed soon. I'd hardly call their OP a critique. They offer nothing constructive and they vaguely cite issues that they request be solved in an arbitrary deadline or they will quit. The OP is free to be dissatisfied, but their OP is nothing but an ultimatum that SE would be wise to ignore and instead focus their attention on the constructive and beneficial feedback given elsewhere.

This. Its a demand. A demand with a threat. There is nothing in it to say I'm just informing SE of its problems with MCH/BRD. No. Its a I have 3 weeks left, if its not fixed I'm done! The essence of an Ultimatum. A failed one, cause all MMO companies don't give a care for a single solitary threatening consumer. A whole bunch of people is a different matter all together, but not one person, it holds so little weight.
To the OP: This is not to say I disagree with your issue. But this thread... it doesn't help your cause in the slightest.

Never gave them an ultimatum yet you threaten to leave the game if your demands aren't met by a certain time.
Be sure to give your items and gil away before you leave because people like you aren't really needed here at all.
You want to make a difference? Do what Violyre said instead of making threats to leave the game simply because you aren't happy.
