    Improve marketboard searching

Why do I need to search for the words in order? If, for example, I want to search for "topsoil," why do I need to type in "Grade 3" or whatever first? Having to alt-tab to search for the name of something so I can find it on the marketboard means your search engine is not doing its job.

Doesn't mean that their search engine isn't doing it's job. The default search functionality available to most databases supports indexing on character based columns with left most or right most comparisons.

For example, imagine you are trying to find someone in a phone book. The names are listed as such:
    Doe, John
    Lastname, Firstname
[... five million more names ...]
    TwentyTwo, Razer
If I were to tell you to look up everybody with the last name of "Doe" you would be all liek, "yo bro that's easy lemme go to page 4 and use mine index finger to go to the 'D' and then to the 'o' and then to the 'e' and rip out this page and get MASSIVE GAINS ROURLGJE!!!" - sorry, got off track.

Now if I told you to get me all of the people with first name of "John" what would you do? Not as easy, right? What you're asking for would mean another service ON TOP of their existing database that helps with searches.

Google Sphinx or full-text searching to learn more.

I totally agree with this guy. MB search functionality is absolutely horrid. I should not have to alt-tab to help me find the names of items.

@Inyi - Your example is moot. Fortunately... we don't USE phone books anymore because that is some ancient stuff lol. If you wanted me to find, "John Doe that lives in Nowheregreat, Alaska" I would simply go to Google and type in, "John Doe Nowheregreat Alaska". I wouldn't bust out the local Alaskan phone book and start going through the "Doe's".

A search feature should assist you in SEARCHING for something. If I know that I need some Shroud Soil or Dark Matter but I can't remember the exact name... I shouldn't be forced to search "Grade 3", "Grade 3 Shroud" or "Grade 3 Dark" just to get the result I'm looking for.
I should be able to type "Soil" or "Dark Matter" and it pop up the results of the different types of soils out there and the different grades.

I'm sorry but there is absolutely NO defense for this poor excuse for a search function.

I would also like the option to filter out food based on stats. If I'm looking for food that gives control, it would be nice if I didn't have to scroll through the entire list of food available.

The search function is missing one VERY IMPORTANT THING .. something that would alleviate the TC's complaint entirely ...

True, it would add a lot of quality of life since it will save a lot of time. I really hope they'll implant your idea of smart search.

You should have posted it in the suggestion and feedback section.
