How do you roll dice?

So I was in Idylleshire and a group of players was sitting at this table near Rowena and i170 law gear NPCs, and in chat log when you're in Say distance, it shows them playing a game where each was rolling a random number and even had a dice symbol next to the number. They were at it a while, but having fun chatting and rolling. I checked emotes, but nothing there. I checked internet and saw a thread from long while back before HW where a community rep said the UI team will consider implementing some old text commands like /roll, but /roll doesn't work.
