Relic weapon progression

Before the end of realm reborn, atma rates were increased in order to allow easier progression. Since there are a bazillion steps to reach the final relic, is there any mention that animus/novus will be made easier? Especially with the i180 weapons being out, the relic stage is kind of behind.

You mean the Books and Alexandrite? The number of mobs you're required to kill for books was reduced with 3.0 and you get 5 Alexandrite for just doing the daily quest.

The relic questline has already been nerfed quite a lot in 3.0. There is a lot less RNG in the grinds and Alex is really easy to get now with Maps giving 5 each. I doubt they will be nerfing it again. Its mainly just for Glamour now.

The good news is that with the addition of high level caps, the abundance of tier 4 materia makes it far easier to cap stats on any given relic. It's a lot cheaper to buy higher grade materia because virtually any level 51+ item can convert into it.

Wait, animus was nerfed? I still saw that you had to run the 9999 dungeons and kill the 9999 monsters or do I have to discard my current book from 2.0?

Animus wasn't changed, everything is still the same =/

Ah got it, but this has such a minimal impact on the animus part. The mobs weren't the real pain imo, it's the dungeons and fates...oh well.

Relic ended with Zodiac Zeta. There will be no more steps. Mythic (lacking an official name right now) is the next weapon and will not be continuing the Relic line.
