So, these red scrips are exchanged for what we "collect"? Or is this going to be different way of getting them? . I'm betting we will have to have some pretty good gear to even attempt this whatever it will be.....

The new foods and gear allow you to hit 700 GP, I wouldn't call that pointless.

It's worth noting there is little benefit to having 700GP at this time.

Depends on what you're after. Being able to combine Unearth II and Kings Yield I is pretty nifty - and for FSH it gives more leeway for hooksets after using Patience II, given the short time windows for some collectable fish.
