Do anyone know if you can do undersized party for kingly whisker drops?

As title suggested, I am trying to farm myself a kingly whisker, and I am wondering if I can get the whisker by doing thornmarch extreme with undersized party.

Any answers would be appreciated.

The kingly whisker drops on death. so no. Only loot chests can be grabbed but not materials that fall upon an enemies death.

I believe only chests and cards appear as normal. Drops from enemies are turned off for undersized parties.

Thanks for the insight, but I have heard cards drops in undersized parties too, so it's a little bit confusing to me.

Ultimately, the only way to know is to run a few and see. Being unsync'd would take no time at all anyway I'd assume.

cards do drop. just not the whisker or any other crafting material

Hmm, thanks for all the replies, guess I will find out sooner or later then. I will let you guys know if undersized party drop crafting materials in trials.

Relic items drop from dungeons too, although those drop on dungeon exit and not mob death.

Patch 3.0 (Full Patch Notes)

This option has no effect on the strength of enemies or mechanics in the duties it is applied to. Players will still receive treasure rewards, first time completion bonuses, and experience points upon completion of duty when using this option. However, players will not receive experience points or items from enemies that appear prior to boss encounters. Spirit bond and soul resonance cannot be gained when using this option.

While the ingame duty finder options does say loot doesn't drop from monsters, the patch notes say that this affects enemies PRIOR TO BOSS ENCOUNTERS. We can't infer by the text alone. Trials such as Thornmarch Extreme are a boss encounter right from the start. The only way I would know for certain is for a bunch of people to just go out and try it!

EDIT: Just tried Garuda Hard mode 20 times to see if the Garuda Feather would drop and it did not. Here is a link to the experiment I did! http://redd.it/3cdpbi
