New Areas are Empty

After early release the new zones are very empty, and I play on Balmung.

Was trying to do some fates in the churning mists and no one was there. Why do they even still have seperate instances for the new areas???

The place they NEED seperate instances is N. Thanalan, because that's where everyone's at. Its pretty ridiculous that they cut experience out of lvl 50 dungeons but left it so the older fates give the best experience rewards for the time it takes to complete them.

Also what's the deal with low level roulette giving the best experience reward. I just got done doing copperbell mines, the original, and sadly it was so ridiculously easy, and boring (because I got 3 attacks to choose from). Yet gave me the best experience reward I've seen 350k bonus roulette experience. Not to mention the experience I got from killing individual mobs.

SE you need to fix this so ppl play in the new areas you worked so hard on. Boost fate experience in the newer zones and breath life back into the areas. Also drop the experience bonus for lower dungeons and give more for higher level ones.

I visit the new areas all the time.. hunts, gathering, sidequests... roulettes always give best exp and That's why it's only once a day.

And they leveling up to 56 then move dungeons.
That's what happens when you make new places take years on end to finish with crap as hell EXP.

Yeah I noticed this too. It's the same on my server as well. The new zones are pretty much empty aside from questers and people doing hunts.

For fates people just stay in Northern Than

I don't see the new zones "dead"...not as many as some areas though. No FATE trained seem to be running through Coerthas Western Highlands. People will always find the fastest way to level and use it so no big surprise. I hear of people FATE leveling all the way to 60 in N. Thanalan...whatever works....works. SE could have foresaw this but would your really rather run over further distances to do FATES or N.Thanalan ....that is why they are doing it...and you can get hunts in at the same time.

It is that way since 2.1

* Bonus EXP and gil will be awarded to compensate for the discrepancy between character and duty levels. A further percentage will then be added based on character level.

Northern Thalanalan fates are the best to farm.

Without a relic weapon no one is motivated to grind there for hours tbh.

They are all botting in North Thanalan or spamming dungeons. It has to be really sad for the devs that worked on making the new awesome areas to see that the people in charge of balancing the exp gained after 50 messed it up and now people are just sitting in the same zone all day just like 2 years ago.

The mobs in the new areas have like 5x the HP I'd expect... they are just... brutal to kill. And then poof 500 exp and you kind of look at the screen in doubt and then go "nope".

Literally was my reaction on pre-release when I tried it. Nope nope nope nope nope. 4 minutes to kill a single mob for 500 exp... no.

Was one of those weird furry eyeball things too in western coerthas.
