Emote List button removal from gamepad

Just a quick question, I use the ffxiv gamepad. Last I checked, the emote list button was the only button able to toggle the aoe/single target menu for spells. What's gonna do that now? Don't see why this needs to be removed, I'd like to know what will replace this function, and why the command needs to be removed in the first place.

    Thanks much.

Nope. still works for me last I checked. how else are mages able to swap between aoe and single target?

It's not an issue for keyboard players, but the only way to toggle aoe on the gamepad is the emote menu button during combat.

it would be replace with wait for it ...... "Jump"

But no all jokes aside it seem they trying to take of the AOE and make Fire and Firega which make more sense you do more DMG with firega vs fire"aoe" like we have now and if people say then i'm going to have to many spell to put on. Most people only use one type of spell anyways so pick your fav and stay with that one lol.

You will probably be using the same button.

The button is being changed so that pressing it accesses the Micro Menu (That little menu that defaults in the bottom right with icons for Active mode, Useable Items, Emote List, and Main Menu). There's no way for controller users to use items or use that menu at all so since the emote list was already there having a dedicated button just for the list was pointless.

ohh, so it's actually an improvement for controller users, without losing the function at all. That's great. Cheers for explaining Estellios
