Bad players are not class-limited, and anecdotes mean nothing.

For Alexander (Normal), MCH should seriously have no issue so long as you're actually good at your job. Anyone who expects you're going to need Top Tier DPS apparently missed the message that standard Alexander isn't going to be too hard. Square have also said they're going to be paying careful attention to performance of jobs in Alexander to see if, or probably what, tuning they need to do to classes - hopefully balance changes will come with 3.02 and Alexander Savage.

The dev team has actually been pretty good about not leaving a class weak or undesired for long (Warrior, Black Mage, and Dragoon all come to mind from the 2.0 experience).
