No decent NIN will do that to something that legitimately needs to be stunned (or they'll switch to silence on Jug instead). And in any event, a stun/silence is not a knockback. Jugulate doesn't launch my target to the stupid moon in the middle of my combo.
that wasnt the biggest issue, it was just that it made drg completely useless as it provided the entire raid with bonus damage, had vastly superior damage to mnk and drg, and was arguably the easiest to maximize (outside of ping) because of a lack of positionals
and no it wasnt 1% lol
Get a static. Cliche answer I know but we got a MCH in our group and we wreck RavEx and he's going into Alex with us on launch. They aren't bad if they are played well, from what i've seen of him (haven't pugged with any) I'd say they don't have any issues at all tbh; my opinion though.

One time I got 2 Machinists in my DR and it was the most painful, longest dungeon run ever. The burn was so bad I asked the WM to stay in cleric stance most of the time.

I also had a MNK and DRG take so long against the Vault's second boss that no less than twelve rifts were open by the end of the fight; the only reason it wasn't more was that I squeezed out every bit of extra DPS I could as White Mage too. Bad players are not class-limited, and anecdotes mean nothing.
For Alexander (Normal), MCH should seriously have no issue so long as you're actually good at your job. Anyone who expects you're going to need Top Tier DPS apparently missed the message that standard Alexander isn't going to be too hard. Square have also said they're going to be paying careful attention to performance of jobs in Alexander to see if, or probably what, tuning they need to do to classes - hopefully balance changes will come with 3.02 and Alexander Savage.
The dev team has actually been pretty good about not leaving a class weak or undesired for long (Warrior, Black Mage, and Dragoon all come to mind from the 2.0 experience).
Fixing machinist and bard are going to take time, both to identify where the problem truly lies and to come up with a solution that balances the classes without overpowering them. Not to mention, actually implementing the changes takes a while as well. Expecting SE to just have a solution ready within two weeks is pretty shortsighted

the problem with mch, lies with main combo having 50% chance to proc, but in reality you fail to proc 5-10 times in a row, very often. succeeding 5-10 times in a row, is unheard of.Fixing machinist and bard are going to take time, both to identify where the problem truly lies and to come up with a solution that balances the classes without overpowering them. so they should make the proc chance 90%, then in reality it will be closer to 50%. or they should decrease cooldown of ammo...OR JUST FIX THE % - even at 90% chance, you still fail to gather/craft stuff, 5 times in a row, occasionally.
with mch it takes to much effort, for to little result - it's basically like how DRG was before buff; good burst damage, then it just plummet.

Its more realistic to assume that both classes wont be fixed untill 3.1/3.2. I think(not sure) warrior took 6 months to be fixed and summoner did not get any love untill this expansion. So my advice is to bench the Machinist and play another class untill they get fixed. They might be fixed this month or after 6 months, best to move on for now.
