Low Level Roulette

Why is this still a thing? The rewards are too good to pass up, 100 Law or a shed ton of exp pre-60. But my God, it's horrific - it kills fun. Either having to go through Tam Tara and Toto Rak with 3 skills, or bare the length of Stone Vigil and the others.

I just got into an AV run and we were all Level 60 - who is this benefiting? Not to mention the fact I've run these dungeons to death throughout all 2.0-2.55.

If the Low Level Roulette put us into the 51-59 dungeons that'd be fine - because they're fun, I like those.

Yuppers, I do my roulettes every day. Expert is fine. High level is fine, because 50 and 60 feel nearly identical on most classes - and the dungeons aren't actually that bad. Low level roulette is just the one that makes me shudder every time.

Well... as a new player, I appreciate that there's a reason for everyone to run the low level roulette. As I'm leveling up my classes, it's nice to have decently quick queue times even as a dps.

In other words OP, I appreciate the fact that you are there, doing those low level roulettes!

At the same time, I totally understand how frustrating it is to do a level 15 dungeon on a level 50+. It's always disconcerting to me when I do that on my dragoon class that's level 51. I end up pushing the wrong buttons and wondering why I'm not doing anything! :-p

Sometimes the low level roulette does put you into a 51-59 dungeon, even though those numbers are bigger than the 50 of high level roulette. Maybe the names could be changed a bit. When it sends you into a sub-50 one that's usually to benefit new players. I've had the same thing as you where I once got into AV randomly and everybody was lv synced down to it. I figured we were all roulette people and just skipped as many mobs as we could sneak past.

I think it is great they encourage players to help out, just hope they do or can ban those players who go in and fill the low level roulette with elitism nonsense. I use the word elite in its negative light, not to mean solely "good player" (difference between helping and carrying though, expecting the world handed to you is not fair lol).

If you have a lot of good experience going up the ladder I imagine A. you will stay with the game longer (good for everyone, including SE) and B. you will be more likely to help others out yourself. Low level roulettes are karma pushers .

I think this is more an issue with how mind-numbing and annoying it is to have 95% of your skills walled off if you go to something like the starter dungeon trio than the roulette itself. It really is, too. Hell, you can literally set a follow target and AFK an entire run in one of those as a scholar (a friend has done that when I leveled lancer a bit); there's THAT little to do. You probably don't mind quite as much when you're on your first class, but when you're used to all the stuff you have at lv50 or 60 and with many people multiples at one or the other...it's kinda painful.
