can't login with ARR account on Heavensward client

    hi,
as I wrote in the post's title, I can't login with ARR account on Heavensward client.
I've an account with Heavensward unlocked and one account with only ARR.
I've updated the client and now I can't login with the ARR account anymore. It asks me a key for Heavensward when I try to login with a no-heavensward account.

    EDIT: I'm on PC

So is it possible to login with a ARR account if I've a client updated to Heavensward contents? if yes, how?

    thanks

Did you register a pre-order HW key? If so, that has expired and you need to register the actual product code now...as stated in the notice they put up the other day:

If you were logged out in a HW area when the early access ended and you didn't have a proper product code applied, it may have knackered you up.

thanks for your answer but I think you didn't get my problem.
On my pc I've updated my client to HW expansion.
I've one account with the HW product code registered (not only the early access), and I can log in with it without any problem.
Also I've another account with only ARR product code and with this one I can't log in on my client, because it asks me an HW product code for this account.

I don't want to upgrade the second account to HW, so it seems that I can't play with the second account anymore if I've installed Heavensward expansion on my pc. I think it's impossible that I need a ARR client for the ARR account and a Heavensward client for an Heavensward account

I dunno if I've explained it correctly, I hope so

Not sure you were quite understanding why I asked if you had registered a HW key. The pre-order expiration was a known problem affecting a large chunk of the playerbase--wanted to get that out the way straight off the top, in case it was the simple solution. If someone logged out in a HW area and only had the EA key installed once it expired--they would not be able to access that character/account until the full code is registered. Also--registering a HW key to just one account may have an impact on what is installed on the machine, and how it handles your login.

The updater appeared to install different patches according to the license keys/platform registered. There were at least 3 unique patches, with the end of their indexes incrementing (000, 001,etc). It seemed like it may have been installing content specific to the HW license. Everyone was able to get the first patch very early on---well before servers went live. Presumably, it was for the base game. A few hours later people started seeing a second and third patch come available--it appeared to be either license or platform specific as to which ones they got after that initial pull.

So it is quite possible that by logging on to that system with credentials for a HW account, you installed something that specifically is looking for the HW license key--which it is not finding when you try to sign on with the other account.

oh this makes sense, so it seems that if you wanna login with 2 different accounts (1 with ARR code and 1 with HW code) you need two different clients.
Btw this sounds like a bug, I should be able to login with any account and the contents I can't access with the ARR account should be locked into the game I think.
This forces me to upgrade the second account too, or there could be a solution?

In the short term, you may be able to remedy it by <uggh... hate to even suggest it> re-installing the base game on one system for the ARR only account. Should maybe open a formal ticket with SE first though---there may be a better way to handle it, or they may already be working on a patch specifically for it if it indeed is a glitch in the client.
