I would also try to get in some social linkshells and stuff around your server. That way you can get some people together and avoid the derp finder ^^

That tends to work for me though I tend to do fresh runs with my fc.

Yeah it really sucks. The dungeon courtesy this week has been hellish.... in the duty finder this week. I am assuming that now that more people are hitting the 60 threshold, that the bad apples are all rolling into the duty finder now. I mean heavens forbid that you read the little lore books in the library dungeon now >.>
