What's this server like for Oceanic players?

Hi,

I'm posting on my behalf of my boyfriend, who can't post on the forums until he subs to the game.

What is Tonberry like for Oceanic players? We live in New Zealand and he's found that NA servers are usually dead by 7-8pm NZST

1. Is there a big English community here?
2. Any large Australian or New Zealand Free Companies?
3. What's it like playing with Japanese people?
4. Duty Finder syncs with other Japanese servers, have you found problems with this?

He also can't seem to create a character, will transferring his main bypass the Character lock? seems this server is heavily populated during all hours of the day and night lol.

It is the best by far, massive oceanic community!

Many people come from NA to Tonberry, none look back.

The alternate is Behemoth if you are looking for a mostly English speaking server

really tough trying to get into this server! aiming to make a level 1 just to check out the community but it's proving impossible, might just transfer my main over.

First thing in the morning 5-6 am NZT is the best time to check for character creation locks I find.

I tried at 5am today before leaving for work.. no luck haha! I think I'll try during maintenance, that's probably my best chance.

1. The community seems to be half japanese, and half english speakers
2. There are alot of Aussies and NZ players. I'm sure there are a couple large FC with these players
3. The players adapt well with either japanese/english players. however, usually in PF you'll see JP ONLY for japanese players. There's alot of PFs in english/japanese so no need to worry. Outside of raid/dungeon contents, both parties are polite.
4. No problem, since DF dungeon content isn't so hard that communication is a must.

one thing you didn't ask is HUNT. it's is currently crazy here in Tonberry, early pulls, drama, etc etc. It's to be expected i guess in a high populated server.
another thing: economy is tough here, everything is EXPENSIVE lol. I came to Tonberry 1 year ago, from Masamune, and i NEVER thought of moving to other servers anymore. (wished I bought stuff over though last time, could sell a fortune in Tonberry )
