MCH worth my time?

So I am new to the game, just started a week or so ago. I have been working to hit 50 to unlock the MCH. But from what I have seen and read it is a total waste of time. Should I just stick with the BRD at this point or are they not very good either? I just want a fun DPS class, that isn't total crap. I want to be wanted and needed for raids.

So should I still keep trying for the MCH or stick to my BRD? Or should I try something entirely different?

brd bad mch after both in a bad spot, mch is borderline worthless after the hotfix today too. Bard has been recognized and we only hope mch is too.

If you have incredible faith in SE will do something at some point to fix MCH then go for it.

For now, I'd say get Bard to 60, no reason to set yourself back a few levels by switching now.

If neither BRD or MCH are good, what is a good fun dps class to play? I think the ninja and the dragoon look cool, are they good?

Don't listen to anyone unless you're looking at the rotation guides. Honestly, work out your own opinion before deciding to switch.

I found that my experience with healing helped me out greatly to get used to turret stances. I still deal solid damage, inferior to melees/mage-DPS, but that's always been like that. Your opinion in choosing a main > any other's opinion. Full stop.

The problem comes when his opinion gets him kicked from parties because "Machinist DPS sucks".

I'm personally having great fun playing the Machinist, and devoting my time to master the job thoroughly. I recommend trying your hand at everything and see what you personally prefer better. =)

This is my main concern. Which is why I am wondering what dps classes are good and always wanted in groups/raids.
