Housing all filled? How does a FC buy a plot now?

My FC just got to rank 6 and can purchase a plot of land, but there isn't any plot of land anywhere on the server to buy!

How is my FC supposed to get a house now and enjoy the content it provides, much less the content introduced in 3.0?

I read you can buy from individual sellers, but seeing as they hold all the control I doubt it would be for any truly fair price... Prove me wrong please.

There are even some plots with inactive Free Companies, declaring they are inactive in their Company Profile. There isn't even a building, just the land! *grumbles*

Land like that should be put back onto the market after a length of time for others to buy.

Unless you can comfortably afford to purchase from someone, I'd recommend waiting for more housing to be released. It's something they've been getting a ton of requests for and they haven't added anymore housing in a while. In the recent live letter there was also talk of Ishgard housing, though there's definitely a few obstacles for them to be able to release that. If only Heavensward level 50 users can access it then it's at a serious disadvantage, unless you're exclusively an endgame raiding FC. If it DOES get released for HW level 50 players only then that sucks, but it does open some doors for you--people will be getting rid of their plots as quickly as possible to get the best locations in Ishgard.

Also, waiting means you can save your Gil up and buy a bigger plot than you had intended.
