meld materia question

just out of curiosity is there any way to have someone meld gear for you like for example they are a lvl 50 carpenter i have them a non bound spear the materia and the matter can they meld it and give it back?

If the item is tradable, you can pass it back and forth to be melded. You can also right click on them and request meld. If you request the meld, you will need all items required to do the meld in your inventory.

you can "request meld" from a menu when you right click on character. it goes without really hanging items to anyone so it's safe and the item can be bound.
