Ah, there you go again, claiming HT-FT combo-Phleb-CT combo-repeat is complex.
The GCD combos aren't the complex part. Indeed, there isn't "complexity" but it is quite difficult in actual play to optimize BotD and the various buffs/debuffs and positionals on bosses with downtime/mechanics (every one that matters in other words). Monks are similar with their Greased Lightning stacks which can be lost for the same reasons but can also be built up again somewhat easier and less punishment on missed positionals (but far more of them). Ninjas have the least buff maintenance because Huton has far higher uptime and now Armor Crush to help.

SUMMONER!!! Today in High Level roulette, when I saw a d/c over tank, swiftcasted Titan-Egi and pet tanked us through what otherwise would have been a needless wipe. New tank joins, summon back Ifrit-Egi. Later on, at last boss healer gets OSK'd somehow, I swiftcast a res on her, temporarily take her place healing tank while keep my DOT's up and making sure pet's Roused/Spurred since me healing is a DPS loss. Healer recovers, party finishes that last boss with no wipes.
With I had 3 outgoing commendations I could have given out myself, since I got all three incoming ones. Having unique tools at your disposal to handle the unexpected in ways others can't is exciting.
BLM all day, everyday. My favorite, manawall, was nerfed (I'm gonna miss eating those landslides and dives[t9]) but the big numbers are still there. The rotation is fairly simple but tight to maintain and incredibly satisfying to pull off. I understand it's not for everyone though. Having to be stationary for as much of the fight as possible can feel a bit restricting.
I have a ton of fun playing bard. It's very mobile and feels snappy and quick. You feel light on your feet as you are not weighed down by cast times or repetitive rotations. You also have an extra responsibility of singing the right song at the right time, so you get to feel supportive almost like a healer.
You're gonna love Bard at lvl 52 my friend, all that mobility, gone.I have a ton of fun playing bard. It's very mobile and feels snappy and quick. I am level 52 exactly, actually and I haven't touched Wanderers Minuet once. I must do it sometime, it just sounds so unappealing... As long as playing bard with WM turned off is acceptable, I figure it can be as mobile as it ever was.
It no longer is, the latest changes punish those who keep it off with quite substantial DPS loss. The trade off between breaking a single cast timer on a skill to move out the way of one AoE vs potentially 15 second lockout of the % damage increase from WM while waiting on it's cooldown to finish. It can have a severe impact on overall DPS now in a worst case scenario while a minor impact if get lucky with the amount of dodging being required enough to make keeping it off for 15 seconds worth it.
Because..? You want to randomly hit A and D while attacking and call it "mobility"? You can move halfway through WM casts and the skill will go off. In some ways mobility is even less of a concern because you don't have to face the boss 100% of the time for autoattacks.
