And that's fine until you play a caster or a healer. We get one ring that we can upgrade and one non-upgraded until we get either a raid ring or something like the Garuda/Ramuh EX rings.
I play DRG, I am currently using the 180 ring of Slaying and Fending. The fending ring has Determination and skill speed, 2 stats that DRGs can use. Each ring has a stat that all classes use. This is just something that's been bothering me, yes, I am aware that you can upgrade for the hunts, but that just delays the problem in that you can't equip two of the same ring. I don't understand why the rings are unique equipped and can't be made so we can use the same ring on both fingers.
Personally, I think they should just give us two rings of each type to buy (two rings of Slaying, of Fending, of Aiming, etc). Always seeing that perfect ilvl off by one digit because of that bloody ring is a serious eyesore.
I always have to raise an eyebrow whenever someone uses the words "lazy bum" in reference to players of video games.
Last I checked, these were supposed to be entertaining endeavors, and not second jobs.
Look, if you like going through the logistics of raiding and the rewards it entails, all the power to you. But it doesn't make you a better person than me, and it doesn't make me a 'lazy bum' if I'm not willing to go through that kind of effort for my entertainment. It just means I have different priorities from you, and that's okay.
(This is besides the fact that Alexander Savage isn't releasing for another three weeks, so that eyesore will still be there regardless of what I do in the interim. Hardly a sterling solution to the problem.)
I see people do this a lot and I've always wondered if the secondaries on the "off" ring outweigh losing so much of your primary stat.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
They don't. Det and Crit are worth roughly 1/3 of your primary stat. In other words, you would need 3x what your primary stat would be to make it worth it. This never happens, naturally.
It isn't even close to worth it and the people that do it are gimping their dps or healing, though not by a lot. The only role it doesn't effect is tanks. Getting a Str ring is pretty much as good as the Vit ring.
Except that, in all honesty is a waste of seals, unless you were capping, you can never upgrade that ring and and will end up replacing it anyway, you're better off getting the 160 rings and leaving it there untill better rings come out. as you won't notice a difference anyway.
There are Other Humans here after all..I always have to raise an eyebrow whenever someone uses the words "lazy bum" in reference to players of video games.
