Notice that the FFXI interface is snappy. Notice that the FFXIV interface is sluggish.

The FFXI interface is snappy in all aspects of FFXI. The FFXIV interface is sluggish in all aspects of FFXIV (for me anyway). I live in Japan, less than an hour away from the SE head office. So it is not distance to the server.

People keep making threads/asking what they need in the game before they will pay to play.

This is it.

I don't need more content right now. I don't need new zones or more haircuts.

I need the game (both ui and skills) to be instant before I pay.

Yes, instant. Every other game does it, this one can too.

As long as XIV's remain serverside, it will never be as snappy as a client side interface, but they can improve it even more in it's current state.
