Anyone else find it funny that the Misery Debuff can only be removed by being near someone and using the emote "/comfort"

What does the debuff even do? I mean, I've never felt inconvenienced by it, I just ignore it.
The alexander raid might have this debuff, perhaps they teaching you the mechanic before hand?
This debuff has been around since lost city of Amdapor.

THAT'S how you get rid of it?
I guess i have to macro /comfort to Leeches.
Yep. And /rally works as well. (^_~ )
Whenever i see the first Gremlin's in the Library with new people in the group, the first thing i ask is "Do you guys know the Misery trick from The Lost City of Amdapor?". Most people i come across during those runs have never heard of it before then.
Two things you need to know though... It only works on others, so you can't comfort yourself to get rid of it and you have to stand pretty close to the person in order to get the debuff off.
I love it, seeing main drk and if I get Misery debuff. my healer often /comfort me then say "there there, your job be fix soon I won't steal your mp anymore." or say something random XD
At least SE has fixed the bug with it that was for ages! Each time I used /comfort on the person with Misery, I lost target on them. Wasn't too fun as a healer when tank decided to do a big pull !![]()
