Should there be more content for DoH/L? Definitely.
There is a slight problem with your statement here..

There is in fact Grand Company content specifically dedicated to crafters and gatherers. It has already been announced and confirmed for release. It is because of this very simple fact that it is unfair that crafters cannot join the Companies without leveling a Battle Class. DoH/L will be able to earn the seals to get their Chocobo through crafting and gathering. They just wont be able to start until they level a battle class.

Having to have a DoW/M is an asinine and useless prerequisite that serves no actual purpose except to maintain the integrity of the one, incredibly easy, fight required to gain entry. I personally support this reasoning. No fight, no matter how simple, should be watered down for crafters. That being said, it would not be at all difficult to add a second and third test of skill for Crafters and Gatherers to gain entry.

"Oh a crafter you say? We only accept crafters who can prove their worthy skill in trade. Please speak to the Quartermaster to find out what supplies we are in need of and prove your worth to the <insert company name here>"
