Crafters have no right to get their own Chocobos

Infamous more like. people aren't patient enough to see what the patch does provide before complaining about what it doesn't.

In hindsight I've made that error before too, but we're just trying to inject some reasoning into the people trying to further escalate the dizzying logic of a few stubborn crafters.

As you can see, our effort is somewhat futile, because they keep reiterating old points that had already been debunked in previous posts.

That's because nothing has been debunked. There are just different, and very valid, viewpoints. I disagree with DoH/L being excluded from the Grand Companies, and thus, on principle, being excluded from the personal Chocobos at this time. I haven't been able to find Yoshi's exact statement, but nowhere do I recall him saying that DoH/L would be excluded. If someone can find that that quote, I would much appreciate it.

What I do recall, is that DoH/L would be taking a backseat when it comes to the main storyline. On this, that is understandable, and I agree.

The materia point that someone made is moot to me as well. All disciplines are reliant on each other for materia, so nothing about it is exclusive to one discipline.

What I would like to know, on top of my previously asked questions, if DoH/L are indeed excluded from the Grand Companies, what sort of activity will be exclusively theirs? Chocobo raising perhaps? I'm curious as to what the future of these classes are. I may not be only playing DoH/L, but the content of these classes does interest me greatly.

As for any negativity in this thread, it's really very tame, and honestly there has been more negativity from some of the opponents to the thread than the advocates. Some people are raising a concern about a long awaited feature. The only right or wrong about it is whether Yoshi-P decides to develop further content for these disciplines or not; information that is a valid concern for anyone who enjoys crafting or gathering, whether they are exclusive to it or not.
