It already is quite simple and fair. All I see, beyond all the pointless, and sometimes desperate arguments are people arguing that crafters should get content awarded to battle classes without putting in the necessary effort. That, and a bunch of people posting who already have sufficient battle rank to get chocobos but feel the need to create controversy.
Crafters and gatherers don't want Battle Class rewards for putting in no effort. What we want is a way for us to Earn those rewards with our own content. Real Content. Not that ridiculous parley crap they used in the Main Storyline. They already intend to make DoL/H Company quests, it would not be unreasonable to make DoL/H entrance exams.

or they can jsut play the game the way its designed.

there are always rentals for the 00.1% that dont have a bat class rank 50, no sense in catering content to such a small percentage.

It's not catering content, it's expanding variety. Having more quest and more ways to doing things Can only make this game better. It is the severe lack of Content that makes Classes feel like a grind. Especially DoH/L which have literally nothing else to do but grind. Adding more activities will only make the game more enjoyable for everyone. Restricting content serves no purpose.

Adding Only Content that is exclusive to Battle classes will not fill in the major gaps that bore people in this game.

    Expanding content?

SE makes Grand Companies - a hub of plenty of new content for players who chose to play battle classes. Battle classes are the primary focus of this game and DoH/L are secondary. That has been established.

If players want to experience everything the game has to offer, they need to participate in everything the game has to offer. Grand Company issued chocobos are incentive for players to participate in Grand Companies - content they put quite a lot of effort into. Participating in Grand Companies requires battle classes - a system they continue to put great effort into.

I will say again, SE giving incentive for players to participate in other content is never a bad thing.

That being said, given the direction of the game, if one finds that they do not enjoy battle content at all, not even enough to rank a single battle class to 25, they will find that this game will be getting more and more boring for them.

That's basically it for me. It's getting dull repeating the same thing again and again as this discussion only grows stale.

If there is any player that has no battle class at or above rank 25 that feels the need to discuss this, I would be happy to participate. Players with ranked battle classes discussing this just 'out of principal' are getting nowhere.

I don't have battle class above rank 25. I'm a fisher and alchemist, so do I have the right to fight to get my chocobo? I'm willing to level my r10 something archer, please power level me. Do you have the time for it?

You do have the right to fight for this. The question now would be would you be willing to level up a battle class to aquire the chocobo, be it doing leves or by being power-levelled?

Didn't I say "I'm willing to level my r10 something archer" and ask for help to power leveling me?

    Ah, finally.

Before anything, let me say I respect your decision in playing only DoL/H classes - or perhaps simply primarily. I do, however, question it. Also I want to point out that at this point I will no longer take any post that brings up the initial FFXIV promise of having DoL/H and DoW/M on equal standards seriously. That has been adequately answered multiple times.

There a couple simple things players need to understand:

DoH/L classes are now considered support classes, and are not on equal terms with battle classes. Content is primarily made for battle classes, whereas crafting/gathering content is primarily made so DoL/H can further mingle with battle classes. This much has been officially confirmed.

The chocobos being implemented at this time are of 2 categories: rental chocobos and Grand Company issued chocobos. Rental chocobos are a form of transportation available to all players regardless of class choice. Grand Company issued chocobos are premier chocobos being rewarded to players who enlist in Grand Companies. These Companies, by definition, are armies representing each of the city-states and thus only enlist battle-ready players. Furthermore, the actual Grand Company issued chocobos have been officially confirmed to be intended for battle purposes in the future, with cavalry combat as well as chocobo armor in exchange for GC seals being content that are over the horizon.

Given such circumstances, it makes little sense for DoH/L class levels to be considered for acquiring a GC issue chocobo.

That being said, I feel the root of the controversy is that despite the large amount of content any player who refuses to rank battle classes will miss out on, personal chocobos are something they simply must partake in. As it stands, there are two ways for them to experience it:
    1. Quickly level a battle class to 25, join a GC and get their chocobo.
    2. Wait for the inevitable chocobo breeding system and make do with rentals until then.

The act of demanding content meant to reward a specific kind of effort by putting forth an alternate kind of effort will not serve a constructive purpose.

As for power leveling you, I suggest you start with your immediate allies and friends in game before expanding to ask people on the forums. It is an MMO after all, I expect you to have people you regularly play together with. Yoshi-P has also officially stated that he has nothing against a certain degree of power leveling.

so if the dol/doh are bored rank a dow and get a choc. by not having duplicate content it will free the developers to make real content.

A Hypothetical example of the current situation:

Let's say in Patch 1.21, Doh/L get a quest at r25 that grants them a "Return Ring". It is only available to DoH/L that have pledged allegiance to a Crafting Guild, ranked up beyond Recruit and costs 3000 Guild Points.

I would not cry foul, unfair, discrimination. I would rank at least 1 craft to 25 (22 is highest now) so that I can get the "Return Ring" since any class can use it.

Do not be surprised to see much more "content" like this in the future. There will be perks for every class that will make you jealous and want to level that class to get it, whether it be an item or Class Ability.

Also, don't forget that DoW/M already have to level multiple Classes (that perhaps they hate) just to get the desired Cross-Class Abilities. It is the way the whole Armoury System was set up in the first place.
