I am sorry, but I am trying to stay on point. Your ideas have much potential. however, I'm not really concerned with *how* pure non-combat characters can get chocobos, or at least not in this thread. They could use my recent workshop idea for starters, guess not many people checked out the link :'(
While I do not completely agree with NoctisUmbra's views regarding the participation of DoH/L in Grand Companies, He has already conceded that there's nothing wrong with giving them personal chocobos through some means.
Konachibi also thinks the same, and that it's only a matter of time. Konachibi also graciously provided links to back up her position. Though I think they're a bit vague, that can't be helped.
These two, being the most thoughtful and thorough, are just about the only ones I can debate with. Since neither actually wants to forbid DoL/H chocobos I think of this thread as pretty well resolved. If anyone was going to take notice of it, they have. The devs will do what they think is best, and I'll have to live with it. For now, lets just let this one go.
いつか人は一人になって思い出の中に生きていくだけ。
Sorry for bumping this thread back up again, especially considering how bad it's been throughout most of the thread but just thought I'd add this little thing in from the patch notes in case any of those debating in this thread haven't yet noticed it:
[dev1140] The following changes and additions will be made to Suppy & Provisioning Missions.
Supply and Provisioning missions are now available for those adventurers who have earned the Grand Company rank of Private Third Class or higher.
These missions are similar to the guild tasks offered by the Adventurers' Guild, but reward company seals. The total number of items requested in these missions differs between items and can be confirmed by speaking with the mission officers stationed in Grand Company headquarters. In the event that the quota for a particular item is filled, players may find a new item added to the list.
That means although you have to rank up a battle class to 25 in order to join a GC, you can still earn the seals to buy your chocobo through crafting, so suddenly it doesn't seem that bad, right?![]()
