    And for all my leveling post-50, I've been using almost exclusively Hasty Touch and Rapid Synthesis...saving all my CP's for building IQ stacks and quality, Manipulation, etc.

    2 60's, with the rest coming up on it soon enough (Culinary is lagging way behind tho, sigh.)

    As Nanga said, Hasty and Rapid are your friends. Keep Steady Hand II up and these abilities have a reasonably high success rate to go along with their zero CP cost. This allows you to save all of your MP for Manipulation or Master's Mend, as well as what you need to finish the synth. For Vanya Silk, getting your Inner Quiet stacks up to 7 or 8 should be enough to let you 100% HQ the synth with a Great Strides -> Byregot's Blessing combo. If you use HQ ingredients, you can get by with 4 or 5 stacks, but finding enough HQ Potash might be more trouble than it's worth.

    56 CP is how much you need for Great Strides -> Byergot's Blessing. Make sure you have this much at the end as well as enough durability to use it and also finish the synth. In the case of Vanya Silk, don't be afraid to use GS -> BB without Careful Synthesis up - it has a 90% success rate, which is pretty good, and even if it fails NQ Vanya Silk can still be sold for a good price or used in other recipes.

    Figure out how much durability you need to finish the synth using nothing but Careful Synthesis II. For every two CSII you need beyond the first, you can consider replacing them with one Rapid Synthesis (RS is approximately equal to two CSII) if having enough durability is an issue. Never end a synth with Rapid Synthesis unless you're desperate and will fail the synth otherwise.

    Use Tricks-of-the-Trade on every Good material condition. It may be wise to use them on Excellents as well - think of your Hasty Touches ONLY as a means to pump up your Inner Quiet stacks. CP is your friend - you want to get as much as possible.

    Start every synth with Comfort Zone. That's basically 16 free CP. Use it again when it wears off, if you think your synth is going to last another 10 steps. CP is your friend - you want to get as much as possible.

    Eat Bouillabaisse. HQ Bouilabaisse, if possible. CP is your friend - you want to get as much as possible.

    Note on Comfort Zone. It doesn't give that CP+ on itself.

    I have taken to renewing CZ when there is one left. Unless ToT is up of course.
