Rotation help - crafter in despair

    Greetings fellow crafters.

I recently hit 50 all crafts (now 51 WVR & GSM), &... I'm about ready to quit crafting.

I'm trying to follow gearing up pathway (here), but I can't succeed on vanya silk enough to progress. I'm having no trouble at all at 51 w/ 1* recipes, & get about 90% progress on 1* on my level 50s, but that 2* stuff - wow.

My stats (for WVR), pre-food (I've used Rolanberry Lassi to hit the crafting needed for 2* last time I tried):

    Craftsmanship: 331
    Control: 333
    CP: 315

    Gear in next post...

Gear (some errors in my melding - didn't realize how vital it is for EVERY meld to be exactly the right materia & the right order. ) :

    Clotho
    Weaver's Gibus (Comp. 3 & Command 3)
    Weaver's Swallowtail (Command 3)
    Weaver's Gloves (Comp. 2 & Command 3)
Raptorskin Merchant Purse (Cunning 2 & Command 2)
    Weaver's Trouser (Command 2 & Cunning 2)
    Weaver's Thigboots (Command 3 & Command 2)
    Militia Spinning Wheel (Comp. 3)
    Electrum Choker (Command 3)
    Red Coral Earring (Comp. 2)
    Militia Wristlets (Command 4)
    Aetheryte Ring (Command 3)
Electrum Ring of Crafting (Comp. 3)

    (continued...)

I don't have the recipe books to make the mosshorn earring, rose gold choker, or dodore belt, & have been trying to do this without buying finished products or anything I can't already make on my own (like demimateria - which is gonna be a whole OTHER source of gil woes to level THAT up). I've already dropped 600k gil on materia, & still haven't come close to max overmeld on the pieces I have; I don't even have enough gil left (750k-ish) to do it all (especially w/ normal failures on overmelds).

With all of that - is there ANY rotation that can get me to a reasonable (say... 70+? 80ish?) percent chance of success on vanya silk? I'm just about ready to quit crafting I'm so discouraged, & it's been a major source of enjoyment in the game for me until now.

And I posted this in the wrong forum & now the lovely SE in their infinite wisdom have decided that I've reached my new thread limit for the day.

    With one.
    New.

I have yet to be successful in the new stuff... well successful in HQing the new stuff I have all but Culinary at 50 which is at 37 for that one useful ability.

But I have been using these for help.

Guide 1 (This one should be good for your needs)
Guide 2 (Though this one actually has rotations instead of macros)

Edit: Neither are 3.0 updated but they have been okay for me with my miserable 313 CPs... Also a forum hint. When a post is too big and is split up. Its far better to just make a short part, then edit in the rest, it saves on posting several posts in a row. ^^)

If you don't have full artisan gear with a supra or lucis weapon, you will have issues with recipes past level 50.

Just do leves and level to 52 or 53 (forget which) and buy or have someone make you the gear there, all you can really do if you didn't do any crafting gear progression in 2.x.

I just made cloth and sold it for a couple million until I hit 56, doing the gc daily which is stuff you can buy for like 5-10k hq since it's all quest rewards.

Then I stupidly bought a level 55 set cause my pld was only 51 off the mb to find out you can just get it from a vendor in the churning mists, so don't do that.

My pre-53's have been relying on the Collection system. No need to make HQ stuff. Get HQ items (Easy for me as I have much higher capable gathering Classes) and collect away. Far easier. And while its potentially lower in XP than the Leve's I find it less stressful as I don't need an HQ item to get xp. Well... its almost perfect. I need to farm for wind crystals soon. XD

With that said. I managed to 100% an HQ item on one of my 52s. Sure I had to spend a good deal of gil to get the CPs needed for it, but at least I'm getting closer to where I was from 30-50 (I was reliably making HQ things using one of the guide's Macro lists.) Sadly I was too slow in leveling and so did not get the lucis or supra things, no artisan items. Though I had HQ'd every classes (Save Cul) gearsets. (I had bought most of the right side for dirt cheap).

I crafted post 51 no problem with max melded class specific greens. The trick is building those inner quiet stacks up nice and high.

Yes Melding works. But I do not have the money for it all. And spending more than that before max level still makes me uneasy. But well I can make gill now at least.
