(Spoiler warning) Dragoon 30-50 quest post Heavensward

I'm just curious, is there anyone out there who has done the Dragoon 30-50 quests AFTER completing Heavensward MSQ? I'm just really curious what, if anything, they've done to the plot of the quests to make them somehow make sense given Estinien's fate in the main story.

If its anything like the lvl 50 culinarian quest it probably wasn't changed and just considered to take place before HW. I AM curious about it as well though.

Gonna go ahead and guess that, just like completing the 2.55 storyline didn't do anything to the CUL quests, nothing will have changed in the DRG quests.

It'd be instanced in time if anything if you were to do those quests after finishing MSQ. Similar to doing the 50 culinarian quest post 2.5, but pre 3.0

It's best to consider the 30-50 quests for any of the old Jobs to take place in a time bubble at 2.0, Estinien is still in the quests.

Now what I'm curious about is if you get to level 50 DRG, then rewatch old cutscenes, does Estinien address you as the second Azure Dragoon?

Just like the Sultana was in the Culinarian quests... if he is still featured in the dragoon quests, my feelings are that we'll eventually rescue him from Nidhogg.

Hey good point, how to predict if a character really stays dead. Do they feature in a class quest? Yes? Then SE won't kill them off for good without altering the quest. Quest didn't change? Good news, character ain't really dead.

That logic doesn't really follow. As others have said, doing the quests after HW just means you're "flashbacking" basically. The quest you're doing can be seen as more of a memory of something you did before the events of HW.

Estinen became Nidhogg. We may very well "recover" him somehow in a future story patch (by reverting the change or some other nifty hoodoo), but that has nothing to do with the previous DRG quests. Now, if he were to show up in a NEW quest, then you'd be able to infer that we do indeed rescue him at some point.

It makes me curious about 50-60 DRG quests though. (If pre-HW - meaning 30-50 DRG quest cutscenes haven't been changed.)
