    City Expansions?

    Posting this since I didn't find any Post about this. Excuse me If I am mistaken and please give me the link of the Thread If there are any :P

    First off, I wanna ask something. Will we get any City expansions In the future? Is It on the Devs planned, regardless of priorities? Is it included in the Eorzea Re-design?

    At the moment I think the City Architecture is really amazing, whether it be Grid, Ul'dah or LL, but It seems that the Area that we are able to traverse around seems so small. Look at Ul'dah, there are lots of Buildings and towers but we are not able to enter them. Same goes with LL and Grid, In my Opinion, I think this is a waste since this places could possibly one of the "Hanging out" and "Gathering" place for lots of people and attract people to a place in a certain city.

    I hope they will add NPC actions & movements, worktime, Animated Object movements, or maybe even a Monster breaking into the City like in Ul'dah OP. I won't include detailed suggestions since there are other threads for this kind of Suggestions:

    EDIT: It'd be cool If NPCs have daily routine like what someone in other threads suggested, It's kinda weird seeing 1 NPC doing 1 thing all the time :P

    Devs confirmed in a recent interview that city redesign is on the development plans. I think the animated flags in Limsa is only the first little step in the right direction. Btw, can't wait to hear details about this from Yoshi-p in the near future.

    Sounds nice, I can't wait to see It! and I do hope that Instanced Areas in cities such Market Wards (1 Instance for the whole Market, divided by rooms for each Market and connected by a Hall), Grand Company HQ, Elevator (Being able to move inside like in WKC) won't be Instanced anymore Also looking forward to bigger, and more traversable Cities!

    Yeah, like NPC walking, Work shifts, Chocobo Carriages on the main streets once in a while, etc. An Interesting place I found on Grid was the Roof of the AG, It looked like a cool place to stay.

    There are some areas in each of the cities that we don't have access to yet, there are many theories as to where they might lead to though (housing/auction houses/city leader's area/etc).

    But as far as the aesthetics of the cities I agree we need more subtle movement (besides players) these flags while incredibly small do add quite a bit to the towns and honestly I hope they stay.

    What i don't like is how so many areas are accessed from the same place, like in Uldah, the market ward, the grand company, the merchant ward are all accessed from the dunes. All of these places should have their own separate areas. How many more areas are they going to lazily stick here. They have the space so why are they just ramming everything into one place?

    The Market and Merchant Wards made sense that they'd be in the same general area. The Grand Companies and the wards... not so much.

    maybe this is just a temp fix while they are working on the redesign of the cities....in the future they could possibly each have their own part of the map.

    I seriously hope they do something about Limsa. The City looks great, but getting around it is really obnoxious. Having to go to a set of stairs three entire buildings away despite what you're looking for being right above you. Getting to the Fishing Guild, and leaving the city are just really painful. I tend to avoid Limsa, unfortunately. It's my favorite city aesthetically, but the layout is atrocious.

    Also, I really don't like how I can't walk into the Hall of Flames, or the Market Wards. While I can understand the Market Wards, I should be able to walk into the Hall of Flames. Same goes for Boats. I understand why they did it, but I would prefer to interact with it myself instead of watching a cutscene. It's just an immersion thing for me. A few minor gripes that don't ruin the game for me, but fixing would make it all the more enjoyable.

    Fishing guild can be quite a pain, but everything else is convenient enough. You don't even need your map, you can just use your eyes and look where you need to go.
