We picked a city when we started.I know... Im not arguing against your point... and I'm not gonna argue the perception of freedom versus truly being free
I'm just saying what some people considered being pigeonholed, others would call structure. In Super Mario Brothers on NES, Mario was pigeonholed into running in one direction (right ->)
But I do understand the need for some control over our gameplay... But I just think having us making a choice (in a company) and having us be accountable for and reap the benefits of that choice doesn't have to be a bad thing...
It all just depends on your perspective
One year later a city I did not choose nor pledge to has my main classes weapons in their shop.
My perspective is fuck that.
I agree however i base my responses and statements on the debate at hand not the popular opinion; it would be nice if others did the same and did not infer so much and rather read the post carefully.

Wait whats going on now? You mean forced into the Ul'dah Grand Company?
If anything it should be great. Mix and match all you want with the armory, or go straight into a profession with a job...if everything works nicely.

Well it's not like the rewards are all that great anyway. Besides, you might as well say you're "pigeon-holed" into wearing armor for Disciples of War.
Then again, what else exclusive is there to the Companies besides the class specific rewards?
Its whats to come that worries me not what we have offered now.

I'd say you're just going to have to wait for the patch to come out. As of now it looks like gladiator gear is concentrated at the Immortal Flames, but we don't know if they are going to keep with that exclusion into the new patch. Just do what I'm going to do: wait a day or two after the update for people to post all the info, then make an educated decision off of that information.
But yes, you *might* be pidgeonheld into the Immortal Flames if you want all the best Glad Grand Company gear.
