Looking for the strongest melee/single target DPS at present. DRG? NIN? Monk even?

I have my main (SCH) but what I clearly need is the strongest single target damage dealing job.

I personally think it is Ninja but I am far from an expert on these roles... so I am asking all of ya'll for advice on this one.

Also I think dragoon's nearly 100% uptime blue buff is pretty.

Spamming wheeling thrust looks like a great way to lay down insane damage tbh. But so does Ninja in general.

Spamming wheeling thrust? That... Would be hard to do. Drg, nin, and monk are all within 20 dps of eachother. Whichever is best will come down to player skill only. The only reason to level one over another is personal preference. This is the first time the balance has ever been this good on the melee class imo.

In any practical situation, its Dragoon by a mile. Ninja is a solid middle ground. Monks are behind since HW. On paper and against a dummy they may be closer, but in an actual fight Dragoon is easily far ahead due to shorter ramp up, high potency moves, and powerful dps centric cooldowns. TP managment an issue in long fights. Ninja is a solid middle ground with good potency moves, decent utility in a group setting, but not so much in the DPS cooldowns. No TP regen for Ninjas, but moves are significantly cheaper in TP cost. Monks well they arent the single target power houses they once were. More complex, or rather tedious move set due to the positionals and upkeep of various stacks of buffs. Also poor solo ability compared to the other two if that matters to you. Decent group utility and similar dps CDs as Ninjas. More work for less return really.
