I should rephrase what I said. I'm not saying all endgame is bad and I'm sure people are having fun with it but certain endgame content isn't worth it because the people who do it are mean. Like an earlier example in this thread about people having unreasonable exceptions of people and unfortunately it's not confined to PF. I got cursed out the other night in a dungeon because I made a mistake in a fight. We still won but the point is players are expecting perfection out of others but aren't willing to help others learn and make a better community.Looks like you are in denial. Content BUYERS are what's wrong, since they create the market for sellers.
This is hilarious. Do you honestly believe that people doing endgame are not having fun? Really?
On another note, since I just experienced it again. You know what is REALLY toxic? The hunting community.
What I find funny is when I join a PF, then the leader makes a comment saying they are getting /tell that the ilv is too high. However as much as it may suck a lot of the PFs at the moment (least in my server) don't care if you have cleared, they just want to make sure you know the fight and are not going to be sitting there with your thumb up your ass staring at the other Dragon Killer or keep wailing on the same add as your debuff and knock yourself out. With that said though, I do think its a little crazy for some people to expect flawless runs from the majority when only a certain % have only just reached 60 and starting to get their Law Tomes.
You make a good point, and I even agree to an extent, but consider this:If you don't like others PF make your own. If you don't like how others act find players like yourself and clear content with them. You have no right to tell the people who want to have their PF their own way which is mostly what I came away with from your post. It's like telling someone else they can't watch a movie because you don't like it.
If you want your party your way, and I want my party my way, and Miqo'teplayer Animename wants theirs their way, and so on. . . that only results in a buch of unfilled PF parties sitting there all day.
No, it's not fair at all that people place such ridiculous PF conditions more often than not, but something's got to give, or you just get a bunch of malcontents hitting the DF with little training and even less patience.
Not true. At the moment we only really have 2 types of PFs up. "Must have cleared" and "Learning party" you will have people for both types. Then you may have that random one who wants the loot to himself but good luck filling that one.You make a good point, and I even agree to an extent, but consider this:

Just wait for the "No Poetics or Kick", "one wipe = kick", "No BRD/MCH/[Insert next shunned class here]", "Know the fight or kick" ones. . . It WILL happen.
Then let them make multiple party finders. But if I am progressed to a certain point in a run, I'm absolutely not relaxing my party finder conditions. I didn't spend all that time learning up to that point to just let other people hold me back on mechanics I already have mastered. We have party finder filters and to be honest, being on Balmung, its always full of entries. Its not that bad at all to sort through them all. Nobody has the right or deserves to be in my party simply because they pay a sub and want to do the content. They do have the right to make their own party. The only ones getting in mine are people who know the fight to the same degree I do.
Only problem I have with starting a group on PF is that I have absolutely 0 experience and no one wants to join a run led by someone with no experience.
Learning parties imply a teacher. When party leader doesn't know the fight....
Yeah.
I generally would tag along with FC mates, but I main AST, and most of them are healers, so there's no room.
Which will still be lumped into one and go the same course as the other Primals. Learn the fight in Duty Finder (once its available) / Make a learning party / Join or create one that is set to knowing the fight
In my opinion, the inexperienced person that joins the farm party looking for a carry is displaying more of a "me me me" attitude than the other seven players that are on the same page. If someone wants a clear, they can either work for it or pay for it. It doesn't take much effort to put a party into PF.
No. It implies "I want to learn this fight. Who else wants to learn it?"
