SMN poorly implemented

Ugh... Another one of these. Just because the class isn't what you what, doesn't meant it isn't what it should be. Do egis look dumb? Yes, but they are still powerful to contribute 1/3 of a good smns dps. Also, FFXI didn't launch with so many avatars. It took several expansions. It's also not like you used all your avatars. From what everyone had said, it seemed you simply used about 2 for serious group content. And look at the game, it was so unbalanced between classes. So instead, SE is balancing all the classes we currently have. So yes, you had like 15, but exactly how many did you use? As it stands most SMNS don't use ifrit, and Titan is mostly useless outside of soloing content, so they made the "better" choice of balancing the pets. It's not as though they don't plan on giving us more. But if their plan is to give us a bunch of egis, but we all only use one, I'd rather they just stayed with the 3 we currently have.

Couldn't agree more. Though Ifrit is just as useful as Garuda now after the re balancing. His Radiant Shield now affects all party members, meaning he actually has a useful party support skill now, and since people have been asking for the Egi to have more support/utility this is quite fabulous. So the Egi themselves did actually get some useful updates for HW. Not only that but food also now effects Egi, allowing us to buff them up even more. The Egi are more balanced and useful now then they have ever been, and we got Deathflare on top of all that.

But alas the SMN player base (not all) is infected with far too many entitled/superficial people, who are too focused on nitpicking trivial things. Instead of actually focusing on the good things SMN has received (Egi balancing/changes, Egi glamour, New burst DPS rotation, Tri Disaster, Painflare, Dreadwyrm, Deathflare, LB3 Teraflare) That there is quite a long list of great additions to SMN.
