Thread: Lvling 50-60 in 3.0...HALP!

Relic is useless since ilevel 120/130 weapon is easy to get and after that you will be using expansion weapons. Altrought, you might wan't to grab ilevel 90 relic because that is so fast to get and then work for your way to i130 weapon(which is fast to get too). You should do every dungeon atleast once because that unlocks dungeon roulettes for you and they will be useful later. Then just do all the level 50 main quest to get into HW content. Those quests should give you gear now to get pass the ilevel reqs. If not, use poetics you accummulate from dungeon runs to buy few pieces of i120 gear.

"The first part of the MSQ" is pretty vague. How far in the MSQ starting at 50 did you go? Did you just finish *spoilers*ultima*spoilers* or have you advanced beyond that.

There's a LOT of post-50 MSQs to do, and you should do every dungeon once so you have access to roulettes. You will be forced to do some of the dungeons to advance the MSQ, so you can do the MSQ first before slogging through the dungeons.

If you on your first job just keep doing story quests they give tons of xp and unlock all the Heavensward content, and by all i literally mean all of it including the zones. The story picks up right where it left off in that little house in Camp dragonhead talk to the npc and he will let you inside.

I'm on "Rock Solid Protection", so I'm past the Ultimate Weapon part. I understand about continuing with the MSQ, it's just the dungeons and mainly gearing up that confuses me. I don't want to try to get a certain gear-set if it's gonna be useless.

The job quests that you do to get your job abilities should give you level 90 armor now, so just get poetic accessories and maybe see if a FC member can get you a wpn from Ishgard and your prob set.

Join the horde in Northern Thanalan and FATE grind all the way to 60 or until your resolve burns out.

Basically just do the MSQ for now, that'll be enough to get you to 2.0 stuff, and maybe even a level or two. You only need to be at level 50 to start out after completing the story so you don't need to worry about leveling for now. All the optional dungeons you only have to worry about if you want to unlock the High Level dungeon roloutte for when you are going for Law/any other reward it might give, and even then it isn't a big deal if you don't have it done till much later.

SE changed it that the 2.1-2.55 MSQ give you good equip to be ready for 3.0 (i have heard there are now ilevel 110 gears as quest rewards?)
Do the MSQ and clear every lv 50 dungeon at least once for High level Roulette.
