I was thinking about what I would like to see in this game, and one of the things that I always seem to enjoy is when a game feels big, challenging, and intense. In lack of a better term I always seem to default to if a game has a feel of being "epic." One of the things I feel FFXIV lacks at this point is fights that make that epic feel really shine. I'd love to be fighting things so big my Roegadyn feels like a Lallafell, and great buffalo seems like a sheep in comparison. One idea I had for this is the dragon from the opening cs, the one that died during its attack on the garlean ships and now resides in mor dhona as a skeleton of its former self. I could only imagine seeing the reaper of the lake as it would suddenly return to life, crawling from the mountain only to wreak havok throughout the area. It would be both a scary, and a thrilling experience. In that line of thinking I could also imagine fighting the massive serpent from the beginning as well on a boat over the seas. Something that big would be an awesome fight, and as such those creatures could really earn their title as "notorious." I would be interested to hear a perspective from the developers as to what their viewpoint is on what really makes a creature a notorious monster.
