Wired 360 Controller Randomly Quits Working

My wired 360 will work perfectly fine and then randomly just stall out. It won't pick back up unless the controller is plugged out and back in. When the controller quits working, it will still register the Xbox button, so it's not a matter of hardware losing connection. It's like it only looses connection to this particular game. It works correctly in all the other games I've tried.

Anyone have any ideas for getting this working 100%?

i used to have this issue. i came to the conclusion it was an issue with the pad itself since switching to another fix'd it. but now it starts to appear again and a friend says he's having similar issue. so I'm not really sure what's causing it though

im not sure im right but maybe it is just getting wear. i rememer my old school contollers used to eventually get internal loose wires and a simple move of your hand could make it stop working cause its wires are not always touching.

Been having the same issues here on a 4 month old controller? hasn't happened mid dungeon fight yet, but it is getting annoying. game problem I think? little light flashes a few times, but nothing on Windows pops up saying connection lost or anything.
