This seems to only happen on the DX11 client. If you can live without the graphical enhancements, I suggest you try using DX9. Nothing we can do about it until Square stabilizes it I suppose.

Louisoix died so we could play Final Fantasy 2.0
Let that sink in for a minute.
Reinstalling this helped me.

Could help you, if nothing is working. I dont crash anymore.
Giving out advice about how to fix things is good and all. But, ultimately SE needs to fix this themselves. It IS their game, their DX9/11. Their responsibility. But yeah, I am playing on DX9 and it is still laggy and the loading is still so slow.
Same here, I recently bought the game and its been a nuiscance for me.
However it Only happens when the game eats up all the bandwidth on my HDD. I mean if you look here it tries to pull out over 300MB/s out of my HDD, and if it doesn't drop bellow 200MB/s quickly it crashes and freezes the game immediately.

And plus, not only do I freeze between zones. I am getting horrible amounts of 90ks as well. It's getting ridiculous. XD
EDIT: Now getting 2002 errors. Can't even connect to the lobby.

I have the same problem as well. Only thing that seemed to work was playing the game in windowed mode and not full screen.
Having this too. First sign is crackling audio which then ceases altogether, then I notice the swirly loading icon in bottom right stops and then the window freezes over completely with you usual windows 'not responding' pop-up if I try to click anything.
Not sure if its related entirely, but the first sign also happens when I'm flying during bad weather conditions such as rain or fog. I have sent an in-game help request to see if theres anything I can switch off, altho these instances do usually resolve itself after 4-5 seconds unlike the teleport issue. While I do accept that some PC are not as well adapted as other, my PC scored very high on the benchmark on DX11 so was not expecting to encounter any issues.

I am having the same problem. Game crashes on loading areas.
Audio first cuts out then, instantly after, graphics freeze. shortly after a window pops up that says ffxiv has stopped responding.
This only happens in DirectX 11.
This only happens when loading areas, mostly high traffic areas.
Happens more often if i am alt tabbed while it is loading.
I can get in to the area if i boot up the game again.
I'm having this problem as well.I never had this kind of thing happen to me in dx9. I wish they would at least acknowledge this is a problem.
