Aether Currents Issues + Lack of information

So I never come to forums so let me apologize right away if this is in the wrong place etc.

First its infuriating to me the lack of information in the new content. Yea i know we all Google everything and rely on someone else to tell us because you stopped doing so is how it feels.

I got black chocobo and "Compass" now why would i assume the compass is in my quest area in my bags? do i have an open quest to find Aether Currents? no... all other quest items are used via sub command or automatically opened during delivery or turn in quests.... So 24 hours later i accidentally stumble across the compass i assumed magically disappeared and that it was what the new Aether Currents log was to "track" my progress etc...

Compass = Tracking = Log.

Boy do i feel stupid and for first time in a long time i feel this is poorly done and not on my end.

- Lack of information first off.
- No new help information or location of the disappearing compass.
- I have to say was the first time in 10 years i actually wished there was a pop up annoying tooltip or someplace i could go read or find information.
- Zero information in Aether Current log no mouse over text no anything to tell you what the icons mean or that tracking for some is by quest and some is by open roam it is literally worthless other then to prove you dont have all the little dots that i assume will allow you to fly.

I personally save my extra side quests to help level other jobs when i can. Not every class can solo fates and because of how insane the hunting is there's no reason to grind fates and often no one around to help you. Fate parties are becoming extinct replaced by hunt parties.

Hunt parties are usually full of angry internet warriors complaining about what everyone else is doing wrong. its literally unpleasant experience for the most part to have to focus so much time around one random thing where its always complaining, and harassment, and someone is always screwing someone else over. I complain about this but i have no real solution for it and my only thoughts where what if we could make a Tiered raid somehow with Squads or wings displayed smaller of course maybe something similar to how Tera or other games do larger raid frames and party frames so can have a larger group and if your not in that group then you get no credit at all period.

This becomes all inclusive yet also becomes a way to single out the bad eggs and people who make a bad name for themselves can be forced to either create their own competition group or not be welcome in the group if they have trolled, Griefed, barrated, Cursed out, etc etc you or others in the past. This isnt call of duty i choose not to help people who act that way.

Anyone else notice the Tense Aura and Anger these days in the content? Anger and Hate spewing from hunt parties and Dungeons. Its like the community has turned into a rabid culture.

For example just yesterday (mind you this is one of TONS of similar experiences i have both seen and been part of.) We had a new tank (clearly new) and after first wipe on first set of mobs (im healing) I suggested "Good thing when tanking is to try not to get tunnel vision on what your attacking and try and keep looking around" not everyone speaks english as first language and i try to be blunt but not rude etc. The response from one of the DPS was "How about you shut the fuck up and chill the fuck out hes new" ... This is pretty much the common now in this game people take offense to everything because they are so used to being offended by so many players who are abusive or who whisper you hate messages until your finally get them added to your block list, assuming its not full already from gill spammers.

New fun trick did you know if you Friend Request someone they cant add you to blacklist? Yup yup you have to decline the friend request... THEN you have to go in and decline the friend request AGAIN manually. Then you can finally click their name in chat and black list them as long as in that time they don't add you as friend again.... for PS4 users this is much more difficult task and takes several seconds and is incredibly annoying and bothersome if in middle of a fight etc.

Since im here i want to add not being able to communicate with FC Mates because 2 on PS3 3 on PS4 and 3 on PC we all cant be in voice. I feel someone out there is intelligent enough to create some kind of application that allows being part of PS4 voice party. so we can do group things together because the lag i experience typing with keyboard on the PS4 i type and 10-15 seconds later it appears in game and sometimes wrong. I assume this is mix of Wireless Keyboard and PS4 Registration of input issues or something but i have no education involving the technical wizardry that goes into making these things work.

I think this sums up my frustration and probably ranted about some other things that were bothering me all in one page and again i apologize if this is in the wrong place or this isnt how the pro's of the internet do.

Am i alone in this? Are there others who think the same way i do?
Is there any Developers who would take these words into consideration?
Will anyone even see this thread... Well i hope so.

Thanks to spam friend requests and spam Gil sellers whispering and yelling floods my chat with so much harrasment i never even knew i got a compass i assumed it was how the new log was unlocked and created.

GIVE US A LEGITIMATE REPORT OPTION THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

Cant report harassment, Racism, Abuse, Gil spammers, i mean hell Eve online is a game with no rules at at least they have basic reporting for these basics.

Oh also there are hidden Aether quests behind other regular quests? so i have to find and do a random normal quest with no reward to find the hidden quest? This isnt some special item i want and googled the quest chain for this is one giant ordeal and they are hidden behind other quests? So that means i have to do ever side quest to make sure i dont miss any main points of the game... fail...

You can edit your first post to get around the 1000 character per post limit and thus not have to waste your quota of new posts per day at once.

This is typical when a new expansion/patch launches - information is sketchy and usually is found by players through trial and error. SE isn't going to give much away because it spoils the surprise. Sadly though, that doesn't help you when you're stuck.

Incidentally in Coerthas Western Highlands I found all the aether currents without using the compass once - I just explored randomly and kept moving my camera around and usually spotted them fairly easily (also I've been playing slowly through the quests which reward aether currents as well).

The system is actually not that bad to me - it actually gives us a reason to explore the new zones and is quite fun trying to find them all. But yeah, the compass could be a little less obtuse in helping locate them (not showing even them in a general area on the map is a problem).
