I am currently tracking Prey Online (on Balmung) for time results, I will do this FATE three times to be sure. So far from what I can tell, the 36 hour window opening is probably right, but I am uncertain if maybe this also has a force time as well, and that force time maybe the 48 hour mark. I will check back in another day or two with the results of the first two time checks! Thanks to all who have helped so far, this is a pain to camp, but is and awesome vent, so I am a little sad that so few people know of it, and I hope that we can help as many others as possible to become a part of it!

New info regarding Prey Online. It is apparently a trigger FATE when 5 Special Boss FATE's in Azy Lla are completed.
A friend told me there was a reddit page with all of them listed and I am currently digging to see if I can find it.

Once again proven false to be a triggered FATE.

Updated with new info on Prey Online. Apparently you cannot simply come back to the zone every weather change at 8 AM, 4 PM, and 12 AM Eorzean time as this FATE can spawn anytime. Balmung's monday evening spawn happened at 6:21 PM Eorzean Time instead of at the three known weather change times.

It has officially been 24 hours since Prey Online's window on Balmung opened since Maint Tuesday reset it's spawn timer. The FATE has not spawned.

It's no longer a rumor. It's window opens 36 hours after it's last kill and it's window remains open for another 36. It's just like Odin/Behemoth.

Incorrect. if it was 4 hours ago from your post; that would make it 2:43 PM CST when the thing went down. This would mean it's window would open at 2:43 AM CST on Saturday. You're thinking 26, not 36.
