Custom Battle Poses in future patches possible?

I always look at new ways to make my character unique.

Custom battle poses/stances is something that I always wonder if square would put into the game after they added /change pose in future patches.

When I say battle poses, I mean holding the weapon differently or standing differently during combat when NOT idle.
Like when the white mage holds the staff in their right hand and their left in front of themselves like so:





I thought to myself, wouldn't it be cool to hold the staff differently, such as Yunas stance in battle in FF10, holding the staff with both hands like so:





Thats when I noticed something about the Aero 3 spell.
After casting aero 3, the WHM actually holds the staff for a second with both hands!




Now while I understand that sqaure is busy with better things to do than adding extra custom simple character animations.

Could it be possible that some of these poses already in game during some abilities could be made into something like:

"/change battle pose"

The potential is definitely there.

Assuming you are taking poses that already exist in game with other races, classes or weapons it should be pretty easy to implement. The problem would be unexpected model behavior or clipping of objects if you tried to hold a staff like another race holds their sword and it goes through your clothes or whatever.

It would be really hard to test every combination of race, class, weapon and gender to make sure everything behaves in a reasonable manner.

Edit: And by hard I mean time consuming.

I would love to see more character poses in general. I love AST's idle combat pose but hate the WHM one. And, even for weapon sheathed, I think we could use a few more to reflect different personalities.

And for actual incombat, non-idle? Yes, please yes.

...and recalling that at ARR launch, we had none of this. Default standing pose, default sitting pose, default weapon pose. And that was it. But we got what we have now, and I hope SE keeps expanding ^^

Yeah I'm kind of jealous of the female book reading pose.

The WHM male one is just bad (IMO, I know I know, probably some people like it...)

Can we please start with having all battle poses not locked to a specific gender/race/class and make it similar to /changepose? As a male Roegadyn I would love to have the DRK pose that female Roegadyn have.

this ^, some female poses also can be a little too girly sometimes, the WHM idle drawn weapon pose being one of them.
