At what point should I upgrade my full HQ forager set?

I got a question. My miner and Botonist are lvl 56 and I am still using my old full melded forager set. I am wondering at what point should I upgrade andf to which set.

The lvl 55 is a nice upgrade even NQ. Could probably use that till 60. i dont belive the lvl58 gear gear all that worth since it use scrips and you probably can lvl fast.

I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.

level58. The scrip gear is quite nice and easy to obtain. Gathering scrips are very easy to come by.

As someone also using melded forager gear from pre-HW, how is it possible to jump right into scrip gear? Even with food, I don't have near enough perception to get enough quality on the scrip turnins. I've tried multiple rotations at level 60 mining to no avail.

I was missing a few GP on my jewelry, and my Forager's offhands were not melded, but the rest of my Forager's pieces were fully melded.

I went ahead at 55 and upgraded the left side to the storebought NQ stuff. This brought my Gathering and Perception up, but my GP came down, to the point I had to use food to get to 600 GP.

Even with that stuff I had a hard time getting the scrip stuff. I totally forgot about Matoya's Cave, in which you can buy the level 59 NQ offhand tools. I went back there and got them at 60, and have been able to slowly work my way up the listing of scrip collectables, until I got the entire scrip set. I am currently in the process of every once in a while getting more scrips (4950 per Folklore tome, 9 tomes total, that's a lot of scrips!) while I level my crafting classes, in order to actually produce my own tools and gear, rather than spending the mil+ per piece that the marketboard has them for.

early on when your perception is low (due to gear) you'll have to just settle for 1-2 collection items per node. when you have enough scrips to buy gear, focus on the pieces with the biggest perception gain. What tools are you using? If you arent already I would reccommend using the adamantite tools. I believe even the NQ versions have better stats than tools from 2.0, and you easily buy the mainhand tool from an NPC

The MH Lucis tool has the same stats as the NQ storebought level 60 MH tool.

You should be using whatever offhand tool you can get though. I used Forager's HQ (no melds) and upgraded that to the level 53 quested, and from there to the level 59 storebought.

I started mining with a mixture of HQ and NQ NON MELDED gear, and the weapons you get from the lvl 50 quest. I simply hop over to Western Coerthas every time the clock hits 12. currently at 56 and still climbing. haven't even tried the other collectibles yet. until it's worth the struggle that is. right now i can easily get 240k exp per node in CWH every 15m or so w/o trying for higher quality. Obviously at some point I'll want to try for scrips, but at this point im just cruising along to 60, figure I'll worry about scrips when i get there.

I replaced all of my gear at 55 with the NQ stuff at the NPC. bought the HQ mats for the class quests. I only wish the climb from 1-50 was as easy as this is.

Its every 30 or so minutes, since it is 3 minutes per game hour that makes 72 minute game days.

Once you hit 57 you get Single Mind, and you can easily get five Collectables from the YCO or OWF with that. Swing to uncover, Single Mind, Appraise, Single Mind, Appraise, Single Mind, Appraise, collect x5.
