Unable to update patch files 3.01

Having issues downloading/updating the 3.01 patch. It will download 430/565mb then stop and try to update the game which fails everytime. Have tried resetting comp/router, deleting the patch to force download a dozen or more times, setting to admin and changing compatibility mode to win7. GF is in the same room and on same router, had no problems. Error code is [11006][20814][20831][19900][21]. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm also having an issue with downloading the patch, though it's a bit different.

The download is clunking along at 0.03MB per second with an estimated time of completion at 300+ minutes. This has never happened to me before with updates.

It's likely something on my end, not sure what, but I thought I'd chime in, in hopes that I may not be the only one with this problem.

Update: I also just got errors [30143] and [20496]. Tried resetting everything, to no avail.

Update 2: I disabled Firewall and the download is going considerably faster. Doesn't make sense but hey, I'll take it!

Same thing here. It'll start at 0.02MB/s for about 20 seconds, and then I'll get the Unable to update patch files error [30143] and [20496]. I've reset the router, tried it without the router, I'm always on ethernet so it's not wifi, I set up all the forwarding ports in the router, I've reset Internet Explorer (which is what the client uses) to default, even though I've never touched it. I've made sure it's not in 'Read Only' mode as some have experienced in the past, I've disabled all anti-virus' on the computer, use a static IP, etc etc. I went ahead and updated a bunch of games I haven't played in awhile and each of them are updated fine, at normal speed.

From what I've read of other peoples accounts of this error over the years, this tends to happen a lot on big patch days. If it doesn't fix itself by tomorrow morning, I'll call my ISP.

I"m getting this again myself, last time I got it was on expansion day and the only fix I found that worked was doing a completely fresh install of ff14, hoping I don't have to resort to that again.

Ouch. That's just not an option for me. My monthly data cap already goes $140 over, on top of my base $95 bill.

I seemed to fix it, or it fixed itself, I'm not sure. I was getting a bit frustrated (I have no patience, especially when it comes to my ISP, and it's constant issues, for the money I pay for it) so I went on a cleaning spree. Did a malware bytes scan, avast scan,
completely cleared my Chrome data, CC Cleaner, and uninstalling a few games/programs I haven't used in months.

Something of that list either fixed it, or it was just a coincidence that it fixed itself at the same time. An extra plus, my Chrome is running a lot faster, woo.

Finally just resorted to uninstalling/reinstalling. Downloaded while i was at work, seems to be working fine. Hope ya'll have found a resolution.
