Wow shouldn't i be more worried

So this marks the 2nd week of missing out on alex normal gear drops.
I was like noooooooooo im gonna be left behind but then i remembered that y do i even need this gear? We can get eso gear now and its not like i'll need i190 as i dont even raid.
But my point is wow its already like poetics feeling all over again. 1st week im like hngggg must cap but now its like y bother.
I hate A1 ( takes forever ), too many loot & scoots in A4 , A3 is like mehhh not that bad & A2 is kinda fun if u drive gobwalker.
But my point is wow shouldn't i feel more idk worried? That im just letting myself miss out on "free i190 gear" lol. O well maybe im just tired of feeling like my goal is to reach the " cap " each week.
Cuz now we have red scrip caps to worry about.

Well if you're not raiding, there's really no reason to care/worry. I'm still working on Alexander normal gear for glamour, but sometimes I wonder if that subpar looking armour is worth putting myself through this every week!

After i saw the gear i just gave up on trying alex. To me it's very ugly and not really worth putting up with some of the a holes to get it

If you don't really raid then it doesn't matter in the long run. It is always helpful to gear as much as possible to keep up and stay ahead though so you have to make that decision for yourself at some point.
You can gear your Main in Esoterics and your alts in Alex or mix the two until done.

I'm still running around with the Tomestone of Law gear, so around i170, and I'm completely fine with it. Tried to do A1 (normal) couple days after it was released, but wiped couple times on the first boss due lack of DPS.. and I'd try again, but I'm quite busy with other activities in-game, such as crafting and gathering.

Why the rush?

It's a theme park MMO. There's plenty to do and the game won't actually punish you because you don't hit cap for the first 3 weeks. Me myself, won't even touch Eso or even i190 gears because I want to level all my other classes up first. It's more fun than tanking the same dungeons over and over again.

Heck, my DPS classes still use Soldiery gears. I wanted to give them poetics but Zodiac took up most of my time.

I also have a friend ingame that does nothing but Triple Triad. So he rarely goes online but when he does, you can find him either in Gold Saucer or dueling someone.

I don't raid, so endgame for me is when the chapter of the story is over. After that.... I'm hoping the new relic will be somewhat time consuming or I'm going for all that Zodiac shinies.

It's fine, we're not obligated to complete X amount of content each week. Game not supposed to be a cause of worry.

I know people who don't meet the gear requirements to enter Alexander yet or aren't even lv60. There are always catch-up patches that add new methods of fast gear acquisition, otherwise new players would always be behind.

I will just do it for the story eventually.
Have not gone in there even once yet, sitting currently at i175 and capped first week of Eso. *shrug*

As everyone on here as stated which I completely concur.....whats the point? In 3.1 we are getting a new 24 man raid which more than likely will be Ilvl 190 gear for once a week or something like that and there is not going to be another floor added to Alex for at least another 5 months.......so like others have stated.....whats the point or rush?

If you can comfortably clear Alex Normal and the 2 EX Primals, then yes, there is no need for gear upgrades if you don't plan on trying Savage.
For anyone struggling on these, gear progression is not a magic bullet solution, but it does help.

Looking forward, we might get more primals or harder dungeons that will require stronger gear later.
But for now, excluding Savage, i170 is just enough to clear all other content in the game right now.

So as long as you can get to i170 and don't want to try Savage there is no rush to gear up faster at this point in time. Anything further than that is a personal choice you can make if you want to get stronger or not, so you can collect tomes at your own pace.
