It was meant to simulate death then a coma, her waking up like it was an odd dream was weird, but her "death" was reasonable imho. Honestly I don't know how people actually thought Nanamo was dead.

I for one immediately went down the death like coma route - but when it shown in the trailer for heavensward her clutching her throat and falling to the floor, I thought they had actually decided to kill her off.

However, all that aside - I don't mind her being alive, loved every aspect of the HW story.

With all the characters we "lost" in 2.5, especially that couple of underutilized speculation-bait newcomers we are meant to think are gone "for real," Nanamo coming back like she did, pretending everything could just go back to normal, felt kind of stupid and cheap. Raubahn is forever crippled, Y'shtola is blind and (secretly) dying, and gods forfend she or any of the other Scions actually end up dead from the fallout when the incident itself has been swept under the rug. Everything is so not okay.

And then they kill off sweet, loyal Haurchefant and pull the last-minute crap they did with Ysyale and Estinien. Sure, they've left me guessing, but only guessing how stoned they are in any given planning session.

That's pretty much what an FC mate of mine said about Haurchy - Not happy to see him dead, but that someone finally dies when they're 'dead'.
Or, in similar version of his words - "Oops, I died. lol jk I'm alive" (I just don't remember the exact words xD)
