    [DRK] Living Dead not really living but pretty much dead

    It has been moved in "Insufficient informations" but I can guarantee that this bug is real. I was farming Ravana Extreme with my free company yesterday in the evening and we got this exact same situation.

    Steps :

    - Getting targetted by Ravana's "prey" mark during his "Final Liberation" mechanic
    - Getting hit by his attack and taking the "Physical vulnerability" debuff
    - Using the Dark Knight ability "Living Dead" before getting hit the second time
    - Getting hit the second time and surviving with 1 HP, entering the "Walking Dead" state
    - White Mage using the ability "Benediction" to restore my full HP, but still having the "Walking Dead" debuff which shouldn't be the case
    - White Mage starting to panic and throwing Tetragrammation and a bunch of Cure II's at me
    - Scholar starting to panic too and blowing all of his aetherflow stacks on me
    - Still being "Walking Dead", now 2 seconds remaining
    - Dying after "Walking Dead" expires naturally
    - The "lolDRK" jokes starting on Teamspeak

    It happened to us all night and we finally decided to replace me in the case I got targetted.

    I can assure you that we were already doing this before yesterday's hotfix patch and it was working.

    If this issue (and the other bugs that have been reported for this job as well) is not addressed before the release of Alexander, Dark Knight's integration as a reliable tank in the end-game raids will be pretty tough, I can guarantee it.


    Also reported it on french forums. I hope it will be addressed soon.

    Don't forget that poisons and regen suck away the Dark Knights Mana when under the effects of Dark Side. Copy/Pasta from a company ally.

    "Dark Side (as I understand it) is supposed to drain a fixed amount of MP for each action the DRK performs while Dark Side is active.

    Unfortunately, buffs and debuffs that activate multiple times over time, such as Regen style healing from any source, or Poison type damage from any source, are triggering the Dark Side MP drain even though they 1) cannot benefit from Dark Side's increased damage effect and 2) are not cast/initiated/used by the DRK itself.

    Super easy test (which was what I did). Get into combat with a WHM or AST in your party while a DRK is in Dark Side mode. Have them cast Regen or Aspected Benefic shortly before the battle ends so that the regen lasts beyond combat. Watch as the DRK's MP begin to refill and then suddenly drop at fixed intervals. The sudden drop is exactly when the regen effect would be healing you if you were not/are not at full HP.

    The poison one is especially egregious as you are being doubly penalized by taking poison damage to HP and MP at the moment.

    I can confirm everything that's stated in this thread. Happened to me as well.

    So to sum up:

    -Walking dead not falling off when healed to full (In Ravana EX with double prey)
    -MP drain while in Darkside is doubled when there is a Regen on you
    -Since yesterday's patch, the additional effect of Dark Arts applied to both Dark Passenger and Abyssal Drain only affect the first target hit (blind/lifesteal)

    Just adding a +1 to the mp damage from regen type moves. Extremely problematic

    Haven't even noticed the mp damage, but another confirmation for Living Dead not working no matter what I try. Bene, conventional heals, darkside on/off, nothing has made it work.

    Living Dead wont be cure with just a single Benediction because Benediction dun restore the same amount as your max hp ( which is needed to cure you out of Walking Dead status ), Benediction restore you for an amount of 100%-1 hp.
    But after putting some more heals still dun cure the status, it seems strange

    If that's really the case then it's stupid and it should count overheals, because it means that the Dark Knight must, once in Walkind Dead state, get Bene-ed, then take damage, then be healed again to be cured from the state ? Just because of that 1 HP ? And if he's just Bene-ed, then full life and doesn't take any damage after, he can only die ? If that's really the case it's really bad design and should be fixed real fast. Either count overheals or make the requirement for curing Walking Dead 100% HP -1. But I'm pretty certain that only Bene was working before the hotfix patch because we already were using this technique. Maybe it was taking overheals into account and I had a regen tick that made up for this 1 HP. But as it is right now this skill is a complete mess if it really works like that.
