The Garleans are an Empire which means they control much land, blowing up Eorzea to them seemed like a typical "just nuke them!" solution you hear rednecks say in regards to the middle east. What I'm curious about it, they make it seem like only Eorzea has Primals. I guess beast tribes on other continents do not have Primals?

that's not why its because Eorzea has an abundance of athera and its right in the middle of the most concentrated source of it.

He's referring to Mor Dhonna, by the way. We don't know how well aether is distributed. For example, the region that serves at the heart of the Garlean empire is on the same continent as Eorzea, but they have no magic users since there is so little aether around. However, Meracydian, which is to the south is where Bahamut was first summoned, so there's aether there as well.

Yugiri confirmed that Doma also has primals so I would presume they exist all over the world. That actually begs the question of if primals exist in Garlemald as well prior to the empire killing any that summon them, though I wonder if Garleans even can summon since they lack the ability to manipulate aether, and summoning appears to be a subconscious form of aether manipulation.

As Dererk points out though Eorzea is home to Silvertear Lake which is a well of aether of sorts. The overabundance of aether in Eorzea makes summoning far far easier than it should be which is why Garlemald has it's sights set on the land.

No, the empire does not have enough aether to support regular magic use, much less summoning a primal.

Oh they have plenty of aether. Their magitek is all fueled by ceruleum which is just a refined liquid form of aether, so they clearly have access to a lot of it. The reason they don't use magic is because they physically can't. Something about their Allagan heritage makes them incapable of manipulating aether with the mind in the way the other races can. If they cannot summon then it would be for that reason and not a lack of aether in my opinion.

Yes, I stand corrected. I thought I had read there wasn't enough aether in that region for magic use.
