Question about story of Bahamut

So the bahamut seem to be sealed by Allagan in the Dalamut (floating out side of earth or something?). Then he seek for someone to unseal him and somehow he posses The White Raven to turn him wanting to awakening Bahamut?

After that he got unleashed and destroy everything until got beaten by Phoenix, then it seem he disappeared into Aether?

1. Then why he is sleeping inside the binding coil of bahamut again?
2. Why are there so many binding coil of bahamut and they are far away from each other?
3. Is Binding coil of bahamut = parts of Dalamut that breaking into parts?
4. What is the original of this beast? is this an actual Dragon on earth? or it is always just aether?
5. What are we actually fighting against, during the coil of bahamut raid ? It is a fake bahamut? Bahamut remain mind? Another bahamut?
6. What is the purpose of us going into binding coil of bahamut, what do we gain from it?

So, spoiler alert:

1. We go into the Binding Coil to prevent primal Bahamut from reawakening and annihilating Eorzea.
2. Rewatch the opening cinematic to A Realm Reborn. Bahamut sends shards of Dalamud everywhere.
3. Yes, the binding coils are parts of Dalamud that bound primal Bahamut in place.
4. Bahamut was originally one of Midgardsormr's 7 children, who went with Tiamat to Meracydia, which was eventually attacked by the Allagans during their height. Bahamut was slain, and then Ascians convinced Tiamat and their brood to resummon him as a primal.
5. During the Final Coil Turn 4 you are fighting Bahamut Prime, a smaller core essence of the primal form of Bahamut buried in his heart.
6. See #1. We save the planet.

A bit of spoilers there

1. Hes regenering from the damage it suffered at the hands of phoenix. It was critically wounded but not killed
2 Good questions, maybe on the explosion parts of Bahamut/Dalamud were sent flying away.
3. I think so on each coil if you pay atention you can see parts of its giant body.
4. Original Bahamut was one of the Midgardsormr sons, but died on the Allaghan empire era. The one was see is just a 5000 years old primal resembling Bahamut but totally different on the inside + being batshit crazy due to aeons of imprisonment.
5. You can say that last boss is basically the Essence of primal Bahamut that took a weaker form (nowhere its original form power due not being fully healed yet but still VERY powerful) to defend its core
6 Avoid the full resurection of Bahamut. Even all the Luisoux's preparations it wasnt enough to bring Bahamut down for good and it caused massive land damage. No one want a repeat of that plus theres no Luisoux now that can pull it off again even barely

Most of his body that was destroyed/merged with Phoenix was some kind of aetheric matter, just like a primal.

1. Then why he is sleeping inside the binding coil of bahamut again?

Some "parts" of the real Bahamut's body were being kept alive by allagan technology, mainly the heart and head, and it is/was regenerating, even if just aetherically.

2. Why are there so many binding coil of bahamut and they are far away from each other?

They are all connected, since after the last turn of each coil you are at Bahamut's head/heart location.
We must pass through all turns of each to access the allagan regeneration devices in these 3 different locations and disable them, so the regeneration can stop and Bahamut won't come back to unleash another calamity again.

3. Is Binding coil of bahamut = parts of Dalamut that breaking into parts?

I think so. They ended up underground somehow.

4. What is the original of this beast? is this an actual Dragon on earth? or it is always just aether?

Bahamut is an actual dragon from Meracydia.
He is one of the sons of Midgarsorm. Bahamut was captured by the allagan thousands of years ago. They had technology to control dragons and many other things.

5. What are we actually fighting against, during the coil of bahamut raid ? It is a fake bahamut? Bahamut remain mind? Another bahamut?

The last battle (t13) takes place inside bahamut's heart.
We fight like Bahamut's will, an aetherial representation of all his rage of not being able to die and being kept bound for hundreds or thousands of years.

6. What is the purpose of us going into binding coil of bahamut, what do we gain from it?

We used to gain awesome loot of course!
The story purpose was to try to find out the truth about the calamity.
It all becomes clear after t12, Phoenix fight.

Dalamund was an artificial satellite constructed by the Allagan empire under the rule of Xande meant to contain Bahamut in order to collect energy. However, Xande was a bit crazy, and ordered all of the energy in Dalamund to the Crystal Tower to open a Voidgate large enough to let the Cloud of Darkness in. This backfired as the tower could not hold the energy and caused the start of the Fourth Umbral era and the demise of the Allagan Empire.

Over time, people forgot what was in Dalamund, and started to assume it was a natural moon. However, the White Raven's family knew the truth and kept it in a closely guarded secret. His purpose in bringing it down were not free Bahamut, but to essentially wipe out all of Eorzea. I am not clear if he knew how powerful Bahamut was, or if we assumed the empire could control him.

Bahamut was basically an angry dragon avatar being given form by his worshipers who were stuffed into tubes and turned into prayer batteries thousands of years ago by some mean people.

Our job going into the coils was to pull the plug and kill anything that tries to stop us.
